Stop beating around the bush! That is what I "SCREAM" to myself when I find someone online telling me that they can show me how to make a lot of money. The internet is flooded with people telling you how you can make money or how you can get traffic to your site. Ironically no one offering these services tells you the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help them God. Unfortunately so many people have been scammed and tricked into investigating these "not so promising promises" only to find out that they have to spend more money then what they were told from the beginning.
First, let me talk about how good "Direct Selling" can really be. Direct Selling or Pyramid recruiting can and has proven to be a great thing to be involved in. Judging from the numbers that businesses like Amway and Mary Kay just to name a few have reported and recorded it is safe to say that Direct Selling can be very rewarding. So, please do not get me wrong and do not for one second think that I am against Pyramid Marketing and Direct Selling or anything of the sort. The problem is the "suckering" strategy that most of these companies use to get people to become part of their business. All the scam and lies or should I say "hidden cost" that surprises a person once they have spent their hard earned money thinking that that's all they have to do and they will get all the tools they need to become financially successful like the calm mystery man in video that no one can ever get in touch with or talk to live.
Today, I come to share with you some of my experiences that I have had when investing in my self and my financial future. I am a man of ambition and imagination and I do not know how to stop trying to find a way to take better care of my family financially.
Back in the day I was approached by a guy that told me I looked like someone that he and his business partner would want on their "online business team". The guy gave me his number and took my number and told me he would get in touch with me after consulting with his partner. I was excited. I went home anticipating this very important phone call that I was supposed to get later that day that could change my life. Just like that man promised, that evening I received a phone call. To make a long story short, I was sold immediately on the plan to make more money.
Furthermore, I paid my yearly eighty something dollar fee and redirected all my spending habits which is what I was instructed to do in order to be successful. Not to mention the once or twice a week meeting that I was required to go to and the once a year conference that I needed to be at too that cost money to attend. I was not tripping at all though, I was ready. I hit the pavement running, waking up in the morning getting suited and booted to go out in the world and talk to total strangers and convince them to change their habits so that they could get paid. For about six months I followed the plan and business model, made the meetings and went to the conference not to mention walking around the malls on my lunch break and all day on Saturday disturbing people and walking up to people who probably just wanted to do their afternoon shopping or eat their afternoon lunch. To my surprise I did not get one person to sign up to be on my team and before you knew it I was not interested in spending my money with that company anymore.
Later, after it was all over I sat back and calculated all my expenses and hidden fees I had to pay to be apart of this company. Counting the gas I was spending going to meet people at their house, the meetings that I had to attend and the two hundred to three hundred dollars I had to spend every month just to keep my self in the position to get some money and the only check I cashed was only thirty dollars. I figured was just too much for me. Eventually that quest for success with that particular company was over and I was back at my desk at my job working regularly waiting on the next great opportunity to come around. And you know what it finally did…..
