They are holding a debate right this minute on Television. Lou Dobbs ("bless his pea-pickin' heart" as Mr. Tennessee Ernie Ford would have said long ago.) is moderator for the meeting and debate between Latino Immigration and Civil Rights individuals and some Public minded "Civilians" and local Politicians.
I was watching, but it got out of hand of course, and got boring. So I am now working on the computer and wondering about what I just heard discussed, and what those matters expressed about illegal immigration", that will both affect me and my family, and affect this country. Especially in light of a "lame duck" President and the "Bird Shooter" VP.
I think there is a truth out there, but no one is expressing it! As if to express it; the "Truth"; would be opposing those member affiliated and Organizational money driven points of view, such as "Citizens for...." "This or that".
You can be sure that "Truth" has few people standing up for it, and even fewer willing to pay to get it's point across. I mean getting the real truth across as a Political "Truism". That of course is too much to ask of both Truth and Politicians in the real world we live in. But I still think, that with a clear head, Truth can win out. So lets get clear-headed, and think a bit. Why don't I start us off by bringing up each point as I can remember them and as they might affect us, then answer them after you give yours a shot?
Q. Why not have a law that English is our only Official Language?
A Latino Lady said that when the city passed such language, the Officials at the Court House took all the Latin/Spanish language forms away from all licensing and permit offices.
Dan's Solution: We should not have any policy nor law that only English can be spoken or written. The Politicians on this TV program are not advocating such. But you would think so, listening to the Latino Political Activists "Hollar and Squallar"! What's the solution? To have accessible computers with language interpreters and voice (for those with handicaps). The person, whether they speak English at all or not, can step up to any computer "kiosk" (sp) and type in any language, or "push" fake menu buttons to get to any office and have communication and forms of all types filled out for them. It would save money on having to hire bi-lingual, and tri-lingual; and also on printing and clerical costs.
But then we have a problem! A big one! No one would need to hire any Bi-lingual interpreters! That means both a cost savings for the taxpayers, and a job loss for those that would have been hired! See the problem? I hope you do.
Q. Our student population went from 8,000 to 10,000 this year. We have many students that only speak one language, and that is not English. How can they get an education? How can they have access to learning? How can we interact with both students and the parents? Without bi-lingual classes we are more than handicapping the children that need this the most!
Dan's Solution: I live in a small town, in a rural county. But in that place the student numbers have about doubled! The need for both teachers and school buildings has about doubled. So hiring and building new schools and ball fields and soccer fields and everything else imaginable has been about doubled!
There is a huge Gas Play going on right now, as the Big Companies are putting their wealth from inflated gas prices, which is good in a way, are drilling as hard as they can. Drilling Rigs; Pipelines; pipe and metal yards, repair shops, and tons of other things have this small town booming! And the lack of any rentable home or shop or building or lot, shows it! Real Estate prices have gone through the roof, and the traffic, mostly huge trucks and service vehicles are so abundant that you cannot drive through town. But Texans have gone through this a time or two before or their parents have, and it is easy to accommodate that added burden. There will be a time when the Rigs disappear. The Rig Hands will move on. The Pipeline companies will move on to other fields. And the expansion of both people and students will stay.
My solution to this over-crowding of classrooms; multiple one-language students and parents; and to a point, the higher taxes that has to be paid by the homeowners. Is to change the student attendance. The students should be going to school every other day, or perhaps only one in three days! Their "off days" would be filled with computer work. One teacher to teach a thousand kids by computer! It's done in Australia, or was, by short wave radio for years. And we have the computers and the technology to do this, now!
How many schools can you build? How many busses can you buy and hire drivers for? There must be a number somewhere that you, in your local predicament will reach some day. And the day you reach it, you should be prepared. For those that think the solution I put forth is stupid, and not likely to work, I have only to point out that you in Education were expected and paid by us taxpayers to think ahead and prepare for this eventuality. And you have not done so. You get a failing grade!
Why build more schools? Why buy more busses to haul kids? Why have a need to hire twenty new drivers at such a low wage they cannot make a living and you get sloppy workers that you know you should not be hiring? But you have to, right?
Why are we spending tons of money on new books when we only need one per year? The school annual! Why are we serving a thousand, two thousand children a day in the cafeteria? Paying huge utility bills, hiring tons of people to work the cafeteria and food service, when it is not necessary? Not really necessary in today's society.
You only have one or two things to work out. Small bugs. Like students interacting with one another. That is what the "day at school" is for! To interact with teachers and other kids, and to get help with subjects. I know every student cannot sign on to this program. I realize that some need the breakfasts and lunches. I realize there are special needs students in all areas, that need "hands-on" help from teachers every day. But that must be only a low percentage of student bodies. And they can get that special help and attention when the 98% student body is at home or some office on a computer doing homework and listening to lectures, and having classes to participate in. From the local schools to out space, they can be learned so much more than we are able to teach them.
Doesn't this sound more sane than teaching the children only the test? Which is what is being done right now, I guarantee it! I've seen it. What good is a ton of books slung over a child's back in a new backpack going to do for the child? Give it back problems? That's about it! All we have to teach the children is seems is how boring life and school can get! Come on, think about this.
Q. How is new laws concerning Illegal Emigration going to affect me, my family, and my country?
The Politicians have this already wired. They, unlike city leaders and the local school board, have to look far ahead and plan, and commit to plans way ahead of time to come to grips on reality. Reality that they hope you will never see and understand. For then, you would raise such a clamor that this country would be taken back to its roots. That is; Legally speaking.
We have the same problem John Wayne had when he wanted to start making pictures himself. He called up his brother, who was a master at investing, so was handling Marion's money. Just to be told that it was all gone! Yep! Nary' a penny in the account. It was invested badly. Gone.
Gone like our wealth. Like our money. Like our property. Like our prospects for the future. Why are the Politicians for making the illegal immigrant alien legal? Because they need money! They already spent yours! They already spent my son's. They already spent my grandson's. Now they still owe enough money that they have to keep making words to express that much debt! We are worse than broke. We are doomed to unlimited wasteful debt.
What would both stay off the bankruptcy (and yes, nations do go bankrupt!) and fill the coffers enough to carry out wars and civil projects? Easier that pie! Get a huge influx of "extant civilians", that is; persons; to work, pay taxes, and obtain more money from. Easier than baking a pie. Just add employees, at a low wage of course, and water, and watch them grow dollars, or pesos as the case may be. (one Texas pizza biz is now accepting pesos!) And future spending prospects look great! For the Politicians. How does this work?
The Mexican, or Canadian in some cases, come here, work, earn money, and then spending only a part of it, go back to Mexico. In one case I know of, an illegal alien working in this country for a rancher as unskilled labor, a herdsman. He worked for years, and then gave enough money to his small community in Mexico; where by the way; he was an huge well known comparatively wealthy citizen, to build a clinic! How great that is! But this is only antidotal at a "best scenario" to the real world we live in. A world that is far more jaded, insecure, and evil than that story examples.
The Truth is; there is a plan, and it is plain. But it cannot work unless two things happen. One is; open borders between Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The second is, a combining of Governments of these three countries as a United America!
If either one of those do not happen, then the fact of a planned influx of people, and their work, and their money earned and taxed, cannot place this country back into the red! I said "red" as opposed to "black" because this action will not put us into the "black' as they call it when there is a surplus money supply. The "red" will be attained, a flow of money will exist. And that will all go the way all the other monies went all these years, to pay the enormous debt placed upon us by knowledgeable thieving Politicians long ago!
How does this factor into the coming Presidential Election? If you still thiunk any vote outcome would derail this plan you are too simple minded to understand what is at stake! You can only make a difference if you allow legal immigration, and provide services for everyone. Only by accepting all people, all languages, all faiths, all neighbors, can you have anything out of this election and coming dooming of this nation to a One World Government.
If you vote or support an "English only" bill or law, then you will be fined! For I have heard you speak, and believe me, what most of us are using is not English! My family in Great Britain has made me aware that most here do not speak it fluently. Most words we here have adopted from the Indian, the French, The Spanish, and the Dutch.
